Joseph Matranga Named to Board of Directors of First Business Bank

SAN DIEGO, CA – First Business Bank (FBBN.OB) has announced that Joseph E. Matranga has been named to the bank’s Board of Directors.

Matranga was formerly a Director of Ramona National Bank, which was the predecessor company to First Business Bank. He joins John Farkash, Board Chairman, Nathan Rogge, bank President and Chief Executive Officer, Tom Blair, William Ehlen and Lester Machado, D.D.S., M.D., on the Board, bringing the total number of Directors to six.

Farkash said, “We are very pleased to have Joe Matranga return to the bank’s Board. His financial knowledge and reputation in the San Diego business community will be of great benefit to the company and its shareholders as we continue to pursue our growth strategy.”

Matranga replaces John McGrath, who resigned from the Board in December 2009 to become President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of 1st Pacific Bank of California.

Matranga, a CPA, is President and Founder of Matranga and Riley CPAs. He has over 20 years of experience in public accounting and is a member of the California Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also the managing member of Bureck Properties, LLC, a real estate investment and development company.

A native of San Diego, Matranga graduated from the University of San Diego in 1982 with an accounting degree. He has been involved in several community organizations including periods of service on the board of directors of Alpha Project for the Homeless and Rolling Readers.
