Bank of Southern California will be completing a systems conversion beginning at the close of business on Friday, March 4, 2022 in an effort to provide you with the latest banking technology. On Monday, March 7, 2022 you will gain access to a new and improved digital banking system.

To follow are some Frequently Asked Questions to help prepare you for the upcoming conversion.


  • General Information

    • What is a core system, and why is Bank of Southern California upgrading?

      Bank of Southern California will be completing a conversion of our core banking system in March 2022. Our core banking system is the computer software that performs the majority of our banking functions. Our new system will result in a wide-range of technology upgrades, access to new product features, and an enhanced client experience.
    • When will Bank of Southern California’s system conversion take place?

      The conversion to our new system will begin on Friday, March 4, 2022, following the close of business, and will be completed by the morning of Monday, March 7, 2022.
    • Will my deposit account number(s) stay the same?

      Deposit account numbers for checking and savings accounts will remain the same. You can continue to use your existing checks and deposit slips. Certificate of Deposit account numbers will change. We will notify you separately with your new account number.
    • Will my loan account number(s) and terms stay the same?

      Loan account numbers will change. We will notify you separately with your new account number. Your interest rate and loan terms will remain the same.
    • Will there be a period of time that I will not have access to my funds due to the systems conversion?

      You will continue to have access to your funds during this time. The conversion will take place over the weekend of March 4–6 to minimize the impact on you—while offering complete access to your funds. We do recommend carrying an alternative form of payment during this time in case of an unplanned disruption of service.
    • Will I be able to use my existing debit card?

      You can continue to use your existing debit card post-conversion. There will be no impact to your card during the conversion weekend.
    • What steps should I take ahead of the conversion weekend?

      While the systems conversion will occur behind the scenes, we suggest taking the following actions to help you prepare.
      • Verify your contact information. Prior to February 28, 2022, please sign in to online banking and review your contact information, including your phone number and email address, and update as needed. You may also contact your local branch or call 844.BNK.SOCAL for assistance.
      • Download your eStatements. We recommend printing or saving a year’s worth of statements for your records.
      • Save a copy of your templates. We are planning to convert your existing wire and ACH templates into the new system. However, we recommend printing or saving a copy for your records.
      • Remain informed. We will continue to keep you up-to-date on the latest news and information. Please visit our dedicated website at banksocal.com/conversion to learn more.
